European Flexiteek Patent Reinforced

European competitors from The UK and Italy have recently made attempts to revoke the Flexiteek European patent. These attempts have been rejected by the EPO (European Patent Office).

Flexiteek is proud to announce that the European Patent Office (EPO) has rejected the petition by Flexiteek’s competitors to revoke the European Patent covering synthetic and environmental marine decking systems. Flexiteek believes this ruling reinforces its worldwide patent position as the proprietor of the original synthetic decking products. Flexiteek will continue to police its worldwide patents to protect its distributors from unfair competition from infringing products.

The ruling from the EPO calls into question the credibility of reports posted by Flexiteek’s competitors on the internet challenging the validity of Flexiteek’s patents. Flexiteek considers those posts to be evidence of unfair or unethical competition or efforts to avoid the consequences of patent infringement litigation. Flexiteek considers those companies to be infringers which will be dealt with in due course.
