The scholarship programme helps ensure that financial circumstances are not a barrier to taking part, giving more young people the opportunity to experience something outside their usual environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fundraising events such as the London to Brighton ride play an important role in helping FACT continue to offer these experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About Fellowship Afloat<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>FACT is based aboard a converted light vessel moored off the Essex coast, providing a distinctive setting for its residential and outdoor programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The charity&#8217;s origins date back to 1965, when it began with a summer camp for young leaders. Over the years, FACT has grown into an established organisation providing young people with opportunities to develop skills, build confidence and experience activities including sailing and other outdoor pursuits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its work continues to focus on providing positive experiences for young people, with the scholarship programme helping to extend access to those who may otherwise be unable to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Flexiteek&#8217;s connection with FACT<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Flexiteek International Ltd is proud to support FACT and its work with young people. The relationship is particularly relevant locally, as both organisations share the same home village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Flexiteek, supporting the London to Brighton challenge is one way of contributing to FACT&#8217;s work and the wider local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flexiteek has been developing synthetic marine decking since 2000, with its products now used by boat builders and owners around the world. The company&#8217;s latest generation of decking, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flexiteek.com\/en-gb\/flexiteek\/\">Flexiteek 3<\/a>, is available in more than 40 colour combinations, including the Tritone range, combining the practical benefits of synthetic decking with a choice of different finishes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The 2026 ride<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With the 2026 London to Brighton challenge now complete, the funds raised will go towards FACT&#8217;s scholarship programme and help support future residential and outdoor experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you to everyone who took part, donated or supported the fundraising.
