Leading synthetic marine decking manufacturer, Flexiteek, is an official sponsor of the African Boating Conference 2026, which takes place 20–21 October at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.

Flexiteek has built an international reputation for combining durability, aesthetics and sustainability across the leisure marine and superyacht sectors with its portfolio of high-performance synthetic marine decking solutions. The company recently launched a new 3D deck design platform that lets users view decking choices in an interactive virtual environment.

The company’s involvement in the African Boating Conference reflects growing international interest in Africa’s marine industry and the opportunities emerging across marina development, manufacturing, refit and marine tourism.

Last week, MIN reported on Cape Town’s evolution in the marine sector as it expands its refit, repair and aftersales offerings to the more established South African multihull boatbuilding pedigree.

As the continent positions itself more competitively within the global boating industry, partnerships with forward-thinking brands, including Flexiteek, help support conversations around innovation, sustainability and long-term industry development.

Adam Ramsden, Flexiteek CEO, adds: “Africa represents an exciting and evolving market for the global marine industry. The African Boating Conference provides a valuable platform to engage with key stakeholders, understand regional opportunities, and contribute to conversations about innovation and sustainable development. We are pleased to support an initiative that is actively shaping the future of the industry on the continent.”

Flexiteek’s participation highlights the growing importance of advanced materials and technology in supporting Africa’s marine infrastructure, boatbuilding and refit sectors, particularly as the region looks to position itself competitively on the global stage.
