London to Brighton 2025 – FACT Cycling Challenge

This Sunday, 14th September 2025, 26 enthusiastic supporters and staff from Fellowship Afloat Charitable Trust (FACT), proudly supported by Flexiteek International Ltd, will be taking on the legendary London to Brighton 2025 cycle ride to raise funds for FACT’s 2026 bursary fund.
The team will set off from Clapham Common in South-West London at 9:30 am, ready for the 55-mile journey through scenic countryside before arriving at the iconic Brighton seafront. For some participants, this is a familiar challenge, while for others it’s the very first time they’ll attempt a ride of this distance. With determination, team spirit, and community support, it promises to be an exciting and inspiring day for everyone involved.
Why does This Ride matter?
The London to Brighton cycle is more than just a test of endurance. For FACT, it’s an opportunity to raise vital funds for its bursary programme, ensuring that over 2,500 children and young people each year can experience unforgettable adventures on the Essex coast. From sailing and kayaking to climbing and team-building, FACT provides life-changing opportunities that nurture confidence, teamwork, and personal growth.
Thanks to the generosity of local businesses, including Flexiteek International Ltd, FACT’s riders will be wearing custom Kalas jerseys, allowing every penny raised through sponsorship and donations to go directly toward supporting young people.
What is Fellowship Afloat?
FACT is unlike most other charities, based on a converted lightvessel moored on the Essex coast, it offers a truly unique setting for young people to connect, learn, and thrive. The charity’s story began in 1965, inspired by a summer camp for young leaders. Since then, it has grown into a well-loved organisation offering unforgettable residential and adventure experiences that shape lives for the better.
How does Flexiteek support FAcT?
At Flexiteek, we’re proud to share our home village with FACT. Since 2000, our synthetic decking solutions have transformed the boating industry, offering a stylish, durable, and low-maintenance alternative. Now in its third generation, Flexiteek 3, our decking comes in over 40 colour combinations, including the innovative new Tritone range. Supporting FACT is our way of giving back to the community we’re part of, while we continue to lead the way in marine innovation around the world.
How can you Get Involved?
As FACT’s team gears up for the big ride, they need your encouragement and support. Whether you cheer them on along the route or make a donation to their fundraising page, you’ll be helping them reach their goal and ensuring that thousands of young people continue to benefit from FACT’s bursary programme.
