Flexiteek International Ltd join Macmillan’s Coffee Morning

The Flexiteek International Ltd. team in the UK proudly carried on its annual tradition this year by hosting the 2025 Macmillan Coffee Morning bake sale. Once again, the event showcased the team’s creativity and friendly competition, with cakes judged for the coveted “Star Baker” title and a raffle giving attendees the chance to win the winning creation.

Supporting a Life-Changing Cause

The Macmillan Coffee Morning is one of the UK’s most recognised fundraising events, organised by Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity dedicated to helping people living with cancer. Every penny raised helps provide practical, emotional, and financial support to individuals and families affected by cancer — from specialist nurses and helplines to local community programmes.

Since the first Coffee Morning in 1990, the campaign has grown into a nationwide movement, with workplaces, schools, and communities across the UK coming together each year to share coffee, cake, and conversation in the spirit of giving. It’s a simple idea that makes a remarkable impact: last year alone, thousands of Coffee Mornings raised millions of pounds to ensure that no one faces cancer alone.

For the Flexiteek UK team, taking part in this event has become a cherished annual tradition a chance not only to bake and taste delicious treats, but also to make a tangible difference for a cause close to many hearts. This year, the team raised an impressive £322, all of which will go directly towards Macmillan’s vital work.

Baking Brilliance and Friendly Competition

After last year’s citrus-inspired creations, this year’s bakers took things up a notch with creations such as salted caramel, fresh berries and rich chocolate delighting both the judges and the tasters.

Judges Scott Berry and Marie Berry once again faced the tough challenge of assessing each delicious entry for flavour and presentation before awarding first, second, and third place honours.

First Place: George,

George scooped first place with her salted caramel cake, a decadent creation layered with silky caramel frosting and finished with a fudge pieces.

Second Place: Phoebe, Marketing Assistant

Phoebe once again wowed the judges winning second place for another year running. She crafted a beautiful Raspberry cake finished with freeze dried raspberries and an assortment of berries.

Third Place: Debbie, Senior Sales Administrator

Winning third place were these delightful chocolate flapjacks by Debbie.
