Motor Boat & Yachting 2022 Motor Boat Awards
The sport yacht went against the Absolute 48 Coupe, Evo R6 Open and Solaris 48 Power in the sports cruisers over 45ft category.
It’s no surprise that Sunseekers 65 Sport Yacht came out on top, with its innovative Sky Helm and sunken flybridge deck, the sport yacht is simply made to impress. The experience is described at pure adrenalin on the open water with speeds up to 35 knots.
Comfort of course remains key to Sunseeker, you can stretch your legs out for the thrill of the ride from the Besenzoni seats bolted down to the Flexiteek deck.
The deck, has been expertly fitted with Flexiteek 2G synthetic teak by Flexiteek UK, based in Hamble, UK. The colour option of Teak with Black caulking provides the timeless look of a classic teak deck, but without the environmental dilemmas associated with tropical hardwoods.
Hugo Andreae, Editor-in-Chief at Motor Boat & Yachting, commented: “The Sunseeker 65 Sport Yacht lives up to its name with a kind of nimble handling and near 35 knot performance than belies its size and simply wouldn’t be possible on a full-blown flybridge, and thanks to that innovative Sky Helm™ with its supercar driving positions and lift-up helm pod, you can enjoy the experience to the full with the wind in your hair.”
The $3m 65 Sport Yacht joins Sunseekers expanding range of next-generation yachts. Sunseeker also received two nominations for the Manhattan 55 in the Flybridge up to 60 feet and the Manhattan 68 in the Flybridge over 60 feet categories.
