High praise for the Arcona 50 featuring Flexiteek

The Arcona 50 recently debuted at the Orust Sailboat Show in August 2023. She has been met with praise around the world. Flexiteek is proud to feature on the latest flagship of the Arcona fleet in a gorgeous combination of Bleached with Grey caulking.

This is the first model designed by both Jeppesen & Pons. The Arcona 50 is an impressive craft, a 50-footer with twin rudders and a higher freeboard and wider stern. These features allow for more stability and really leans into the easy sailing quality that the Arcona 50 encapsulates so well. This is complemented by the push button control, which means that it is easy to sail even if short-handed. The Arcona 50 was expertly fitted with Flexiteek 2G. Flexiteek 2G has a realistic fine-grain finish and adds to the style and function of the boat. As it cools 30% faster and is up to 35% lighter than traditional composite decking.

Global Praise

The Arcona 50 has been nominated for the prestigious Best Luxury Cruiser at the European Boat of the Year Awards 2024. The winner of the award will be announced at Boot Dusseldorf in January 2024. So be sure to keep your eyes peeled for updates.

It also graced the front cover of a global marine magazine, Yachting World. Alongside an explorative journey in which Toby Hodges underwent a test sail on the first hull Dancing Queen in La Rochelle. In the article, it was noted that the vessel was highly recommended.

All in all, the debut has gone swimmingly with praise from many in the marine industry. Its innovative features and inclusion of a Flexiteek 2G deck position it as a standout in the world of sailing. We await the outcome of the European Boat of the Year awards in 2024. Yet, regardless of the results, the Arcona 50 stands as a testament to the harmonious blend of design, performance, and cutting-edge technology in modern sailing.
