Flexiteek Win Sustainable Business Award

Flexiteek International AB won the Sustainable Business Award at The Enterprize Gala in Fagersta, Sweden, yesterday. Our CEO Tomas Gustafsson picked up the award from Johanna Landin from Almi Mälardalen and Advisor Stefan Jansson.

This was the first gala event in Fagerstra, so we are delighted to be the first business recognised for the work we do to improve our sustainability.

Flexiteek International AB won the Sustainable Business Prize at The Enterprize Gala in Fagersta, Sweden, yesterday. Our CEO Tomas Gustafsson picked up the award from Johanna Landin from Almi Mälardalen and Advisor Stefan Jansson.

OUR FIRST SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS AWARD

The organisers said, “The award goes to a company that, with its global sales and positive attitude, supports the climate. They have a great commitment to supporting biologically important and endangered habitats worldwide to combat the climate crisis. Flexiteek have clearly set goals and the higher the growth. The greater the regrowth through replanting forests in Borneo, Brazil, Kenya and Ecuador.”

Tomas Gustafsson, CEO at Flexiteek International AB added, “We are delighted that our work to support endangered habitats is getting recognised. And, whilst we do not seek recognition, this award will help to shine a light on the benefits business can deliver when its focussed on its climate impact.”

Like any product, Flexiteek 2G has an environmental footprint. We have taken steps to minimise its impact by recycling our manufacturing waste into other products. We also use REACH compliant phthalate-free plasticizer.

OUR SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY

We are proud to support World Land Trust (WLT). They are an international conservation charity that protects the world’s most biologically significant and threatened habitats, acre by acre.

For every 10m² of Flexiteek 2G that we sell, we donate £5 to fund reforestation of vital habitat through WLT’s Plant A Tree programme.
